Adult Retreats

Because Camp Isn’t Just for Kids

Our adult retreats provide intentional space to step away from the pace of daily life and reconnect with God and one another. Whether hosted by Onomia or crafted to meet your group’s needs, these retreats blend worship, reflection, play, and the restorative beauty of creation.

Women's Refresh Retreat

Dwelling in Love
September 25-27, 2026

Step away. Slow down. Soak in the gift of rest.

Come away to Camp Onomia for a weekend of rest, connection, creativity, and time to simply be. As we retreat together, we’ll explore our sacred stories with a little fun and creativity along the way, making space to dwell in love through creative expression, contemplative prayer, laughter, and the beauty of creation.

Join artist and spiritual director Michelle Walka for a weekend grounded in gentle attention and invitation. You’ll have space to simply be and be loved as we connect, create, and pray together. Along the way, you’ll create a beautifully “you” piece of art to take home. No art experience or special skills are needed, just come as you are.

What You’ll Experience

  • Rest & RenewalA chance to pause, take a breath, and refresh your spirit.

  • ConnectionBuild deeper relationships with other women through shared stories, laughter, and meaningful conversation.

  • Creative ExpressionExplore your sacred story through art and playful creativity. No experience or special skills are needed.

  • Contemplative PrayerPractice gentle ways of slowing down, paying attention, and dwelling in love.

  • Time in Creation: Enjoy the peaceful beauty of Camp Onomia and the gift of stepping outside your everyday routine.

  • Something to Take HomeCreate a one-of-a-kind piece of art that reflects your experience and is beautifully “you.”

Our Leader: Michelle Walka

Michelle Walka (she/they) is an artist, spiritual director and founder of Beloved Art and Practice. She is also a rostered minister of Word and Service (Deacon) within the ELCA. Michelle leads experiences grounded in creative expression and contemplative practices; providing space to dwell deeply and gently with our own beloved stories while paying attention to Loving Spirit in the midst. Michelle delights in these creative practices with others, finding space for play, curiosity, and a few deep breathes along the way. More recently, Michelle has connected these practices internationally with their work with Sunlight Tours (www.sunlighttours.org) as the Creative Director and pilgrimage tour facilitator. Michelle enjoys lingering with a good cup of coffee, experimenting with new art materials, and many outdoor adventures with her husband, Keith, and their pup, Rosie.
