Part-Time Cooks & Dishwashers

Camp Onomia in Onamia, MN is hiring Part-Time Cooks and Dishwashers!

Join our kitchen team and help provide welcoming, nutritious meals for campers, retreat guests, and visitors throughout the year. We are looking for dependable people who enjoy working with others and want to be part of a welcoming place.

Part-Time Cooks: $15–$19/hour, based on experience
We are looking for cooks with at least one year of cooking or food service experience to help prepare and serve meals for groups of all ages. Cooks will assist with food preparation, meal service, kitchen setup and cleanup, and maintaining a safe and organized kitchen.

​

Part-Time Dishwashers: $11.50–$14/hour, based on experience
No previous experience is required! Dishwashers help keep our commercial kitchen running smoothly by washing dishes, keeping work areas clean and organized, assisting with kitchen cleanup, and supporting the kitchen team as needed.

​

Hours: Hours vary by season and by the needs of our retreat groups and programs. We will work with you to schedule shifts during your desired times whenever possible. Shifts may include mornings, afternoons, evenings, and weekends.

Responsibilities may include:

• Preparing and serving food

• Washing dishes and maintaining kitchen cleanliness

• Setting up and cleaning up before and after meals

• Following food safety and sanitation guidelines

• Working as part of a team to provide a positive guest experience

Qualifications:

Cooks

• At least one year of cooking or food service experience

• Dependable and able to work as part of a team

• Positive attitude and willingness to learn

• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 30 pounds

• Commitment to providing a welcoming experience for guests

• SafeServ certification or willingness to obtain

​

Dishwashers

• No previous experience required

• Dependable and willing to learn

• Able to work as part of a team

• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 30 pounds

• Positive attitude and commitment to keeping a clean kitchen
