Camp Counselor

The Camp Counselor gets to spend a summer making a difference in the lives of children and youth while building friendships, growing as a leader, and having a whole lot of fun along the way.

You will do this through direct supervision, spiritual guidance, and relational care for campers across both on-site overnight programs and traveling day camps. You’ll lead devotions and small-group conversations, jump into camp games and activities, worship alongside campers, and build connections around the meal table and throughout the day.

You are the ideal candidate if you are an energetic, empathetic servant leader who wants to show up fully, build meaningful relationships, foster inclusivity, and help create a summer campers will remember.

Assistant Program Director

The Assistant Program Director gets to serve as a vital ministry leader, driving the daily pulse of camp operations while cultivating a Christ-centered community for campers and staff alike.

Working in close partnership with the Program Director, you’ll do this through balancing administrative leadership with active, high-energy program execution. From mentoring counselors and resolving higher-level camper concerns to leading daily staff briefings and facilitating worship, you’ll ensure that every aspect of the summer runs safely, smoothly, and intentionally.

You'd be a good candidate if you are a servant-hearted, high-energy leader who can seamlessly balance behind-the-scenes administrative operations with mentorship, ministry, and dynamic camp program execution.

Day Camp Coordinator

The Day Camp Coordinator gets to serve as the face of Camp Onomia’s ministry to partner congregations, leading traveling day camp teams off-site throughout the summer.

You’ll do this through balancing logistics, team leadership, and relational ministry. From coordinating housing and schedules with local church leaders to mentoring traveling counselors, driving camp vehicles, and facilitating high-energy games and worship you’ll play a vital role to ensure seamless programming from host-church arrival to final camper departure.

You are the ideal candidate if you are a dynamic, relational leader who wants to create a welcoming, Christ-centered camp experience for local communities across the region.

Adventure Coordinator

The Adventure Coordinator gets to lead Camp Onomia’s outdoor skills, waterfront safety, and wilderness experience. You will do this through acting as the Head Lifeguard overseeing waterfront operations and safety, managing on-site outdoor skills (camping, fires, outdoor cooking), and coordinating off-site river trips. You’ll be a key leadership staff member to equip counselors for tent camping, maintain equipment, and ensure off-site excursions and waterfront activities run safely and smoothly.

You'd be a good candidate if you are a passionate, safety-minded leader who loves empowering and inviting others into the outdoors.

Media & Arts Coordinator

The Media & Arts Coordinator gets to play a dual role at camp: capturing the spiritual growth, joy, and community of the summer through high-quality visual storytelling for camp families, while curating creative spaces on-site. In this role you’ll oversee media production (photo/video), manage camp store operations (canteen), and lead creative expression by directing the arts and crafts area.

You are the ideal candidate if you have a creative spirit, a sharp eye for detail, and a heart for capturing and creating unforgettable camp moments.

Onomia employs hourly team members in kitchen, maintenance, and groundskeeping roles. These positions offer a meaningful, community-centered experience while providing the scheduling flexibility many staff need. They are a great fit for high school students, young adults, and community members.
