We invite you to encounter Christ through Creation and Community along the shores of Shakopee Lake! Camp Onomia is a Lutheran Outdoor Ministry which welcomes you to retreat, renew, and refresh. Come and stay a while!
All are welcome here regardless of race, age, sexual orientation, or denomination.

We offer fully programmed summer camp sessions for youth and families and year-round weekend retreats for everyone! Let our excellent staff plan and lead a Christ-centered program that is bound to encourage deeper faith and lasting friendships.

Camp Onomia is an excellent, welcoming place to hold your next church group, family reunion, or business retreat. Our location on scenic Lake Shakopee is surrounded by Kathio State Park and is within 80 minutes of most Twin Cities homes. Our Retreat Center is open throughout the year.

A new day is coming at Camp Onomia!
Your camp Board continues to work towards the replacement of Friendship Hall. The steps may seem small right now, but a new day for the next generation of campers and retreat guests is in progress. These are the initial design photos by Vanman Architects. Placed on the present location of the present 76 year old dining hall, this new building will provide exceptional year-round views of Shakopee Lake and the hallowed grounds of Camp Onomia.
