programmed retreats and events
Throughout the year, Camp Onomia offers weekend retreat opportunities which are designed and led by Camp staff. All you need to do is register and pack your bags.
These are fun, nurturing weekends which are open to individual registration or to church groups.
Important note for adult leaders:
All youth campers need to be registered online and all forms should be completed prior to arrival at Camp Onomia. There is no charge for adult resource people bringing youth to our youth programs. Please contact the camp office (camponomia@gmail.com) to reserve lodging and meals for all adult leaders coming with youth campers. Consider making a free-will offering through the donation link on our website to cover the cost of meals and lodging.
Here are are few notes about Programmed Retreats:
1. Fee includes meals, lodging and program
2. One deposit of $50 per held space required, not refundable.
3. There are no refunds on programmed retreat registrations.
4. Please furnish your own bedding, pillow, towel and toiletries.
5. Parental release form and camper health history is required for youth events.

Rest is Biblical! Come and spend some time away and leave feeling renewed, refreshed, and empowered for daily life.
The theme for 2025 is "Faith in Anxious Times: Why I'm Still a Christian". Through large group presentations, small group discussions, time to reflect, and creative practices - like prayer stations, painting, coloring, and time outdoors- you'll be invited to dig deeper into the idea that despite the chaos in the world that faith matters.
Our retreat begins on Friday at 5pm, with supper served at 6pm. On Saturday, we'll end with closing worship at 4pm.
Retreat Leader: Pastor Jodi Houge
Pastor Jodi Houge currently serves as the Associate Pastor at Gloria Dei Lutheran Church in St. Paul Minnesota. In Pr. Jodi's words "My great joy is when we foster a sense of belonging for all of God’s wild and holy people to find their seat at a table. Raised by farmers in ND, I love helping things grow."

Spending time in intentional Christian community renews and strengthens us. Throughout the weekend, we'll be enjoying time in community through large group activities, small group discussions, trivia, individual reflection time, and more.
Join us as we jump into "Parables; Everyday Stories, Eternal Truths." We'll dive deep into three of Jesus' parables to reflect on the message the original listeners would have heard and the truth we embody today.
Our retreat starts on Friday at 7pm, and ends after Sunday worship at 9:30am.
Retreat Leader: Jim Ollhoff
A member of Grace Lutheran Church in Apple Valley Minnesota, Jim Ollhoff bring a vast expertise and knowledge of leading Bible studies. Jim is no stranger to Camp Onomia, having served as a camp counselor.
