Join us in the summer of 2012 for a wonderful time away with family and
friends!
Good News! We have held the line on camp fees this
year...NO PRICE INCREASE!
We want to help you out in a tight economy. In return,
we NEED YOU to bring a friend to camp with you this year to balance out the real
increases we see in operational expenses such as food, insurance, and staffing.
PLEASE be our ambassadors and encourage your friends, co-workers, and neighbors
to attend camp with you this summer!
Family Camps at Camp Onomia are the real "All
Inclusive" vacation experiences. Food, Fun Activities, Faith, Friends, and
Fellowship...
Our summer staff spend two weeks in training before campers arrive. We
strive to provide your child a positive Christian role model who will be a good
friend, teacher, and mentor in faith. Lodging options include high comfort
private rooms in our Retreat Center, General accommodations with community
bathrooms in the Dorms, or campout with your tent or trailer! Fees include
appropriate meals and program. We have just what you need!
Follow these quick jumps to other age groups you are seeking:

Family Camps at Camp Onomia
offer you an exceptional value for your summer vacation time.
Looking for a family week where everything is taken care of for you?
Seeking a place where Christian community...
worship, Bible study,
and proper role models for the kids... is a high priority?
Need a
place to put your boat in and wet some worms?
You will find it here!
Although all activities are optional, you will probably want to
partake of all the activities a summer at the lake offer. Ample
swim, boating, and beach time is combined with supervised activities
like camp crafts and games for the kids. You can join us in a trip
over to Kathio State Park for a climb up the fire tower or a nature
study with the park naturalist. How about a family canoe trip down
the Rum River? You can even take a bike trip down the Soo Line Bike Trail. Daily chapel, Bible studies for all age groups, and
evening sunset songfests at the Campfire Cross are a great way to
make this family outing something significant as an important way to
pass on the faith to the next generation of believers, your
children!
Make the time this summer to spend some quality time with your
family. Camp Onomia family camps are intergenerational, so bring the
whole family. Invite the grandparents too! Some families have found
this place to be a wonderful place to reunite the whole family;
brothers, sisters, aunts and uncles are all welcome here.
Single,
windowed, married without children?
You will find a welcoming
community at camp this summer. |

for support and family fun on a week which celebrates our national heritage.
Combined with prayer and worship in the Christian community that Onomia
provides, this is a weekend you will come back for year after year.
Oh, by the way, did I mention that there is no cost for this

required.)

it. (Regular camp fees apply for 2 extra nights and 6 extra meals,

Camp Habitat you could call it. We are
seeking skilled and semi-skilled workers to help us remodel rooms in
the Vogel Retreat Center. This year-round facility is key to the
financial stability of Camp Onomia, and we need to complete room
renovations to make the Retreat Center more usable. Carpentry,
painting, electrical, and general laborers are welcome! We will
begin each day with Chapel and end it with evening free time and
campfire. Bring your family and we will put everyone to work!

CROSS TREK- the Bike Tour
youth grades 9 and up through adult - June 24-29, 2012

|
Are you a cyclist or just like riding your
bike? Here is the trip for you!
Cross Trek is a bike tour for high school youth and adults which
will cover between 30 and 60 miles per day. We travel bike trails and
back-roads through central Minnesota, supported by a van which hauls
your gear, water, and food. This tour is a small group experience,
traveling by bike by day and camping out in tents and on church
floors by night. Camp Onomia staff lead you safely to your next
destination, and the van is always behind you if you flat or need a
lift. Campers should have some biking experience and able to
physically ride the distance each day. Along the way you will enjoy
the scenery and tremendous friendships and camaraderie. What makes
this bike tour different is we also bring our Christian faith into
the conversation though daily devotions and evening Faith talks. So
invite your riding partner, get some prep miles in this spring, and
get your bike ready for a ride around Mille Lacs this summer!
This program begins and returns to Camp Onomia.
Begins Sunday 7 PM
Ends Friday 1 PM |
