Grandparents retreat “Growing Together”

If you are looking for a way to spend some time with your grandchildren, connecting with them in meaningful ways, we have just the opportunity for you.  Bring the grandkids to Onomia for a weekend of learning, relaxation, bonding, and fun.  We will have a variety of activities for all ages, including, bible study, worship, arts and crafts, and much  more.  Use this opportunity to spend some quality time with your grandchildren and to strengthen the bond you already have.
 

Godparents Retreat- “Let Your Light So Shine”
April 4-6

For all you godparents that are looking for a way to spend more faith filled time with your godchild, we have the perfect weekend for you.  Share this weekend with your godchild and get know each other better and get to know new people that share this special relationship.  The bond between a godparent and godchild is everlasting, and this event can help strengthen that relationship for both of you. Through a variety of activities and programs designed for people of all ages, you will have an opportunity to let the light of your own faith shine for your godchildren.  Together, you and your godchildren will learn more about one another and the faith you share.
           

The quilt auction will be held on September 20th at Central Lutheran Church in Elk River.  Quilt viewing begins at 9:00 a.m. with the auction beggining at 12:30.  The theme of this years auction will be "Remember When..."  This is a fun opportunity to support the ministry of Onomia.  The quilt auction is currently our only fund-raising event and features the live quilt auction, a silent auction, quilt raffle, and lunch. Join us for this fun fall event.

We are looking for donations of quilts, craft and wood items, and items for the silent auction.  We would appreciate receiving all items no later than August 15.  We hope that you contribute in some way as well as take part in this event.  Watch for quilts to be listed online during the summer.

Spring and Fall Work Weekends
Spring: May 2-4
Fall: October 3-5
We invite you to come and use your skills as we have plenty of work to be done at camp each year.  Work weekend is filled with fellowship, as well as a chance to help out around camp with a variety of projects.  Join us for a weekend of great food, lots of fun, and a chance to work side by side with others who love Camp Onomia the way you do.
