congregations and exists to
provide spiritual renewal
for all ages through the
Gospel of Jesus Christ

Mission Statement
The programs at Camp Onomia
are driven by the conviction
that the Gospel of Jesus
Christ is good news for
sinners, news that the world
needs to hear. Through a
variety of summer and
year-round programs we hope
to assist our churches in
their work of proclamation.
God's Spirit is at work in
this place where we gather
to hear the Word of God in a
different setting, our ears
not ringing with the noises
of our everyday lives. Our
hope is that the various
opportunities at Camp Onomia
will help to re-kindle the
flame of God's Word in those
who gather here.

Jim Schmidt, Executive Director...

Jim began as Director of Onomia summer 2010. He is a Minnesota
native and a graduate of Gustavus Adolphus College in St. Peter, MN.
Jim brings over 25 years of experience in Outdoor Ministries to Onomia, having
served most recently as Director of Operations with Crossways Camping Ministries
in Wisconsin. Jim sings and plays guitar and enjoys photography, scifi, and most
things techie.

Anders Meier, Program Director...

Anders joins us the winter of 2012 to lead our
programs and summer camp staff. He is a 2011 graduate of Concordia College with
a major in Biology. He served recently at Luther Crest Bible Camp in Alexandria
and is engaged to his camp sweetheart. Anders plays guitar and likes running. We
are excited to have Anders join us in ministries at Onomia!
